Hand-dyed and hand-stitched reclaimed cotton and linen, hand-stitched onto archival board. Torn, cut, layered, and stitched by hand. The frayed edges, visible strain, and areas of compression are not incidental -- they are the work.
This series is about holding. About the way things, and people, can be worn down, frayed, barely keeping it together, and still be whole. Still be beautiful.
And even if things do give way, becoming something else entirely. Sometimes something even better.
Framed in a walnut finish frame. Archival spacer keeps the fabric from touching the glazing.
